The Mini Birdie - Jewels with Wings



Brilliant and bold, this tiny hummingbird is nature’s living treasure. Perched on his favorite stick, this Ruby-throated Hummingbird reigns over the feeder and flowers alike. His throat shimmers like molten metal; his fiery gorget flashing like a living gemstone, a tiny crown of light that shifts from ruby to bronze with every tilt of his head. He guards “his” feeder from other hummingbirds and anything with wings. Bees and butterflies included. He chases them away with little squeaks and returns to his stick like nothing happened. Between sips, he pops his head up, scanning the world for any intruders with his sharp little eyes before returning to his feast.
